Yoga Teacher Training

Beginning September 2027

There’s a difference between knowing how to teach yoga & becoming a teacher

This is a nine-month training for those who want to understand the practice deeply. To live it. To develop the knowledge, skill & confidence to guide others & to discover the kind of teacher they are here to become.

You will study the foundations of yoga, deepen your own practice, learn the craft of teaching & explore what it really means to hold space for another person with presence, integrity & care.

Be the first to receive dates, full training details & applications when they open.

More than learning to teach a yoga class

I don’t believe becoming a good teacher is about knowing more poses, remembering the right cues or being able to put together a beautiful sequence.

I believe it's embodying what we teach. Teaching from our genuine own experience of the lessons we’re offering & vitally learning to really see the person in front of us.

To notice.

To listen.

To know when to guide & when to leave space.

I aim to hold teachers to a level of self trust that you will know yourself enough that you can respond to what is actually happening rather than simply repeating what you were taught.

This training will give you strong foundations in yoga & the practical skills you need to teach it well.

But you'll also explore the things that are harder to put into a manual.

Presence. Relationship. Your voice. Your own practice. How you hold people.

And how you allow everything you're learning to become something lived rather than simply something you learn.

THE TRAINING

Across our nine months together, you'll move between study, your own practice, embodied exploration & actually learning how to teach.

Yoga as a Living Practice

You'll explore traditional yogic philosophy, its history & roots, ethics & self-inquiry — always bringing these teachings back to what they mean when they're actually lived on & off the mat.

Not simply what you know about yoga.

But how the practice changes the way you meet yourself, other people and your life.

Understanding the Body

You'll study functional anatomy, movement, mobility, strength & breath, alongside learning to work with the huge variety of bodies that might arrive in front of you.

Rather than trying to make every body create the same shape, you'll learn to look with curiosity & work with the person who is actually there.

The Art of Teaching

You'll learn sequencing, cueing, language, demonstration, observation & adaptation — the practical skills that help you guide a practice clearly & confidently.

Alongside that, you'll begin to find your own language.

You'll explore how you naturally communicate & learn to trust yourself enough that you're not trying to sound like somebody else's version of a yoga teacher.

Holding Space

This is a huge part of teaching for me.

You'll explore presence, boundaries, nervous-system awareness, relationship & what helps another person feel safe enough to actually experience themselves.

Because you're never just teaching a posture.

You're with another human being.

And I truly believe how you meet them matters.

Meditation & Breath

You'll deepen your own relationship with meditation, breath & pranayama, & learn how to share these practices simply, confidently & with sensitivity.

Embodiment & the Nervous System

You'll explore sensation, regulation & the ways the body responds to experience, developing a deeper understanding of the whole person rather than only the physical body in front of you.

Your Own Practice

Your own practice will sit at the heart of the training.

You'll be encouraged to develop a practice that belongs to you — one that isn't simply something you do for the purposes of becoming a teacher, but something you continue to live & return to.

Because ultimately, we teach from what we've lived.

The more deeply you know the practice through your own experience, the more you have available when you sit or stand in front of somebody else.

You won’t leave teaching like me

I don't want to create versions of myself.

I want to give you strong enough foundations that you can start trusting your own eyes, your own voice & your own relationship with yoga.

Across the nine months you'll have space to question things.

To practice.

To teach.

To get things wrong.

To notice where you feel confident & where you close a little.

To work out what you actually believe.

And to slowly find the kind of teacher that feels like you.

An intimate, authentic & accessible way to learn

My role as mentor, teacher & guide flows strongly into this training, meaning we come to truly know one & other.

I walk your path alongside you because I deeply value the journey this path can take.

I want to see you teach as you. To notice where you hesitate. To know what comes naturally to you & where you might need more support.

This training will be deliberately small & personal. Not a tick sheet curriculum to a big room of people who get sent away with the same information.

As you practice teaching consistently throughout the nine months, you'll have dedicated time to experiment, receive feedback, try again & gradually become more comfortable in your own skin as a teacher.

There’s zero expectation that you arrive already knowing how to do this.

That's what you're coming here to learn.

Is this for you?

Maybe you already know you want to teach yoga.

Maybe you've practiced for years & want to understand what sits underneath the physical practice.

Maybe you keep finding yourself curious about what it would feel like to guide somebody else.

Or maybe you simply know that you want to go much deeper into yoga & don't know really where that might lead.

You don't need an impressive practice.

You don't need to be the strongest, bendiest or most experienced person in the room.

You need curiosity.

Commitment.

A willingness to practice.

A willingness to be a beginner.

And a genuine desire to meet yourself first.

The 2027 Training

Our training will take place over nine months, beginning in September 2027.

Entry is through application so that I can create a group of people who genuinely want to be here & are ready to give themselves to the practice & the training.

Full dates, training structure, curriculum & investment will be shared before full applications open.

For now, I'm opening the 2027 interest list.

If something in you is already leaning towards it, add your name.

You'll be the first to receive the full details & application.

Joining the interest list doesn't commit you to the training.
